FIELD HOUSE COFFEE BARN, TIBTHORPE
What better than to start YWMF26 with a ceilidh?
It's the ultimate celebration to kick things off!
The perfect way to let off steam & meet new people.
A fun activity for the whole family!
Field House Barn Café have very kindly agreed to host this event, and local ceilidh band Top Notch (a ceilidh institution in these parts) will guide you through the moves. No previous experience necessary.
Pie & peas (meaty & veggie options available, both £15) can be ordered in advance for those who want them. The ceilidh is offered on a donations basis - pay what you can!
The venue is fully licensed and, as dancing is thirsty work, the bar will be open for the duration. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, and soft drinks for the children.
There are two other YWMF events happening at Field House over the weekend, and should you wish to stay for the whole weekend they have a lovely campsite. You can check it out HERE.
There are lovely walks and miles of coastline to enjoy, the market towns of Pocklington, Driffield, Malton and Beverley to explore and plenty of places to visit, including RSPB Bempton, Sewerby Hall, Sledmere House, Rober Fuller Gallery, Northwood Fairy Trail, Eden Camp and York Maze. So why not plan some activities around the festival events you'd like to attend?
If you intend to stay it's worth booking well ahead, as they have a Leonberger dog show the same weekend and there will be plenty of people camping. Alternatively, you could enquire about rooms at the Star Inn at North Dalton, Wolds Village in Bainton, Highfield House in Driffield, the Pipe & Glass Inn at South Dalton or one of the many Airbnbs in the area.
